Bidding Farewell to Tobey

It is with sad hearts but friendly well-wishes that we announce the departure of our founder, Tobey Scott. Tobey will be taking a position with Spinglass Management Group in Portland, where he will continue using his business acumen and technical expertise to support various organizations.

Tobey started Gilchrist Scott, Ltd. (now Tidestone Solutions) in 1988 in New York City, bringing his business with him when he and his family relocated to Maine for the balanced quality of life. Sandy Wyman joined the company in 1993, soon becoming part of the ownership team and has been the sole owner for two years.

Tidestone Solutions will continue as the reliable Accounting Systems Solution Partner for its clients, and Tobey Scott will continue sharing his business vision through consulting services.

The office will be a different place without Tobey’s smiling face, quick wit, and valuable insight. We will miss him, and we wish him the best of luck. To borrow from Garrison Keillor, we say to Tobey, “Be well, do good work, and keep in touch.”
