Have you ever reIMAGINED your business? Have you wondered how your business would function if you implemented change? That’s what partners across the U.S. were encouraged to do at the 2015 Microsoft reIMAGINE conference in September. This conference has equipped us with the newest technology and powerful tools that will help take our customers’ businesses to the next level.

From a marketing perspective, reIMAGINE taught us about the importance of video communication. Promoting new products, sharing tutorials, and introducing our team via video, instead of in the form of written communication, is key to helping viewers understand the solution or offering available to them. Modern learning styles are evolving, and accessibility, speed, and value benefit are the main influencers. We also learned how to make our website more informational and easily accessible for the modern-learner. At Tidestone Solutions, we want to make helpful tips and tricks readily available to our customers and readers; our new website will be sure to provide you with this convenience!

reIMAGINE taught our technical team about the 30+ new functionalities that will be available to our customers in the next release of Microsoft Dynamics GP. Though we can’t reveal all of the new functions that will be offered, we can tell you that you can expect many SmartList Designer advances and Excel formatting tools. We also learned about the supported SQL High Availability options available for Microsoft Azure, how to wrap GP windows with dexterity to create service based architecture services, and that the current web client will be migrated to HTML5.

Many other things that we learned at reIMAGINE will help improve our consulting practice and in turn, help our customers improve efficiencies. For example, we learned about many of the new Workflow features in GP 2015 R2, about the new Power BI tools, and the many new benefits of SBA and its mobile app functionalities. Our continued professional development helps us stay current with the newest technologies, helps our team stay in constant communication with Microsoft, and as a result, helps our customers get the most out of their ERP software solution.
