Microsoft Dyanmics GP 2016 Roadmap

Microsoft reIMAGINE 2016 Highlights

Microsoft reIMAGINE 2016 Highlights

Microsoft Dynamics GP partners from across the US took Fargo, North Dakota by storm last week at the 2016 Microsoft reIMAGINE Conference. This conference equips partners with the newest Dynamics GP technology and powerful tools that will help us better serve our customers. We’re excited to share the 2016 reIMAGINE highlights with you, and tell you about the road ahead for Dynamics GP:

  1. Dynamics GP Roadmap. Microsoft will be releasing new versions of Microsoft Dynamics GP on an annual basis, beginning in 2017. Previously, new versions were released every six months with “R2” versions. There will be a GP2016 R2 release before year-end that will include business intelligence enhancements, web client evolution, a home page refresh function, and other top features that have been requested by users. In 2017, you can expect the release of GP “Next”.

  2. Jet Reports. This is a new tool that will be included with Microsoft Dynamics GP in the future, which will allow you to access your data through fast, flexible reporting and business analytics within Excel. Jet Reports will help users cut down on manual processing time when compiling data, eliminate human error when building reports, and empower your team to work with your important data easily.

  3. Power BI. With Power BI, you can create dashboards that contain interactive reports that look at sales by region, by amount, by item, your cash flow, revenue, profit and loss, and any other unique data that will give your company visibility into your most important data in one convenient place. You can also connect your Power BI dashboards directly to your SQL database for visuals that are dynamically refreshed to ensure you’re always looking at current data.
